a date night double header and more

Monday again, huh, funny how that works.  It has been a while since I have done a weekend recap so I thought I would pull one out for today.  Friday night is date night around these parts.  We decided to try an Italian restaurant that we have been meaning to get to since we moved here.
It was a quaint little place that normally I would have loved.  Unfortunately, this time I didn’t.  They really didn’t have much in the way of vegetarian options.  Like one to be exact.  It was all right but considering what we paid for it I expected it to be better.  I did however love the fact that they had my favourite brand of wine.  It is a small winery and it isn’t common to see on menu’s.  The white’s are even more rare than the red.  I also loved the wine cork decor.
Since I felt a little cheated out of a good date night we decided to make it a double header.  We went to our favourite restaurant for some dessert.  This tiramisu is divine.  It just so happened that they were also serving wine that night cause they were open hahaha so we had a little more.  It was also our first time at the Lakeside Resort this season so of course I had to bask and snap a few photos with my phone.   After that we headed home and watched Elf by the Christmas tree.  And the night was deemed a success.
Saturday I worked and went to the gym.  Exciting, I know.  It was a hockey night out for the boys.  I decided to stay in and watch a girly movie.  I watched The F Word which is apparently called What if in some countries because Daniel Radcliffe.  I really liked it.  Of course, after the movie I ended up watching Harry Potter because well, that is obvious.  If it is not, you are broken.
Sunday morning did not bring Sunday Funday with it.  A neighbour knocked on the door to let us know our car was broken into.  Scott spent the morning dealing with the boring details of police reports, clean up and insurance claims.  I did household chores with Christmas music and the Shaw Yule Log on the TV.  That has to be the best channel of the season.  All fire, all the time.  And the plaid arm stoking the fire, oh how I have missed that.
Hope you all had a great weekend.  I know it was a holiday weekend for a lot of you.  Hope you all had your fill of turkey and stuffings and family.
