Friday Favorites : The One with All The Feels

Yay, it is Friday again! Another week has flown by! It was a good week too. At least for us it was. Weird but good. Friday’s are for linking up with our girl Amanda for Friday Favorites.  Let’s dig right in and get started.

The CWW community has grown so much lately. Not just on the blog but social media as well.  I just wanted to take the time to say HI to all the newbies around these parts! I do hope you will pull up a chair and have a cup of coffee with us. Or a glass of wine. Don’t be shy, say hi and let’s get to know each other! I can’t stress enough how much joy this community brings to me. Nor could I do without your love and support! Thanks a million!

I recently got and read an incredible book from Netgalley. I am totally in love with this site. Free books in exchange for an honest review. Sign me up. It was The Second Sister by Marie Bostwick. It is about Lucy, a political campaigner that is about to come into the big leaugue as her candidate is elected POTUS. I must admit I was originally drawn to this story because of my shipping obsession for Scandal’s Olitz. Then her sister suddenly dies and she ends up going home to small town Wisconsin to deal with her affairs. The Second Sister is a heartwarming story about family, loss and healing. It is heartbreaking, inspiring and it will uplift your soul. Marie Bostwick does an excellent job of weaving the story through well developed characters. I would love to be able to visit this quaint little town that she has brought to life. The story and the hearts of it’s characters will stick with you long after you have put it down.

I have a confession to make.  I was the biggest Grey’s Anatomy fan for years. I ended up dropping it about three or 4 seasons ago. I have always been curious but not enough to pick it back up. I tuned in and watched the episode that McSteamy died. I was shocked to hear that McDreamy made his exit last night. One might think I would care since I don’t actually watch anymore but I do. I almost tuned in but decided it was a tragedy I didn’t need to see. Scott and I started watching from season 1 over Christmas break but got distracted before we finished it in January. I want to pick it back up but I don’t know. That Shonda she does some crazy things to me and my heart.
That being said, I must say that Scandal was on point this week. Edge of your seat. Got to love to hate and hate to love Papa Pope. That man is an evil genius. I need more Olitz! There is soooo much more I would love to say about it but I don’t want to spoil it for anyone that isn’t caught up.

I made the most delicious pasta last night. I got the recipe for this Sun-dried Tomato Asparagus Pesto Pasta from Jenn from Going the Distance.  I kind of decided to make it on whim and didn’t have all the ingredients. Of course. So I modified it a tad but it turned out sooo good. I know I will definitely make this again.
I am a little late to the game on this video but I just saw it this week. I just had to share it. The Rock lip syncing to Shake It Off gives me all kinds of feels. Plus, you know everything Jimmy touches turns to gold.
That is about all I have to say on this fine Friday. Hope you all have a fabulous weekend!
