the girl in the red coat – eShakti review

This is a sponsored post.  I was compensated for writing this review.  All opinions are true and my own.

Baby, it is cold outside! I still want to be basking in the Caribbean sun.  I can hardly believe we have been back for two weeks already…..two cold, windy and rainy weeks.  Such is life in beautiful BC.  As soon as I got home, I was forced to trade in my flip flops for rain boots and layer up.  Which as hideous as this sounds is actually a little exciting.  Over the summer I picked up my first pair of Hunter boots.  I have been itching to wear them but the weather just wouldn’t allow it until now.  I have pretty much been living in them since we got back.
I am also really excited about another new addition to my closet this winter.  Before I left I ordered a new coat from eShakti. I was really excited to hear that it had arrived while I away and was ready for delivery.
Outerwear is kind of a problem for me.  I have a tendency to keep collecting it.  It just follows me home. I swear.  This new coat is by far my favourite piece now.  I am absolutely in love with the color.  I wasn’t sure if I could pull of something so bold.  I tend to stick to more neutrals or black for outerwear but I have been secretly wanting a red coat for a long time.  Boy, am I glad I took the chance.  I have never received so many compliments on anything else I own as I have this.  Well, except maybe my Michael Kors watch.  swoon.

This coat is super comfortable.  It is lightweight but still warm.  I liked the fact that I could order standard sizes or put in my measurements when ordering.  I was also able to customize it further picking the length.  I have never had anything made with custom measurements before.  I think I may be hooked now.  Perfect fit, every time.  Yep, I could get use to that.

This is so my style.  From the hidden buttons, collar and sleeve details it is perfect for me.  I will definitely be buying more pieces from this company.  The service was fast, efficient and the final product stunning.

A fashion blogger I am not.  haha.  I don’t know how they do it.  I dragged my husband done to the lake to take some shots for this post.  Awkward.  I have only done a fashion post one other time.  At least then it was warm out.  I didn’t realize how windy it was till we were already there.  Oops.  Well, it just leaves us with some interesting shots.  Plus, there were ducks following around us the whole time.  Oh, the outtakes.  A post for another day perhaps.
