Another Friday is finally here aka TGIF. This week went by pretty fast for me. Especially, considering I didn’t know what day of the week it was on any day after Monday. Not really sure but I was a day ahead every day for some reason. Hopeful, maybe? Since I had such a good time last week linking up with Amanda for Friday Favourites I thought I would do it again this week.
I did something a tad totally crazy this week. I have been wanting an Erin Condren life planner for quite some time. I decided at the end of December that I was going to splurge with my Christmas money and get it. Which is totally fine. Christmas money is for our wants not needs. So, if I wanted a $50 planner I should have one. I went online and was in the process of ordering one, finally. I got to the checkout and found out it was $39.95 to ship to Canada. Say what? The planner is only $50. Needless to say, I was disappointed. I didn’t want to spend as much on shipping almost as the item I was buying cost. It just doesn’t make sense.
I decided to go back to the bookstore and get the Kate Spade one I had been looking it. Sold out. Disappointed, again. Bought a cheap planner that would be better than none and tried to be happy with it, until yesterday. Yesterday, I decided I couldn’t stop thinking about the EC planner. I broke down and ordered one. It’s Christmas money so I decided it was no big deal. Even though, I am a little sad that it is basically costing me double. One of the not so awesome perks of international shopping/shipping. So, basically that was one ridiculously long way of saying I’ll be stalking the FedEx guy till it arrives.
This Bath and Body Works candle, Gourmet Expresso. It just smells soooooo good. Short and sweet to make up for the last one.
I’m going to be that crazy cat lady for a minute. This little guy steals my heart over and over every day. He was diagnosed with a terminal illness chronic kidney failure and given 6 months to live. Over 5 years ago now. We have been managing his condition very well. He could start his own pharmacy probably if he were so inclined but to look at him or watch him you would never know that he is sick. There is always the possibility that he could crash looming over us. As we have for this long already we take one day at time.
On Wednesday night, I was reading and he was still in my lap. He kinda slumped down and made some weird twitching and I couldn’t really tell if he would breathing. I started to panic a bit. I poked him a couple of times and got no response. Then I dropped my book in front of his face literally a couple of times. He is a very light sleeper so this should of startled him. Nothing. I am holding my breath at this point. I decide to pick me up to see if that would wake him fearful of the worst at this point. As soon as I picked him up he woke up and looked at me like Mom, I am trying to sleep here. Never been so relieved in my life.
Got my second glam bag from Ipsy. I was thinking about doing a review/reveal post. I used to do the occasional beauty post on my old blog but I haven’t done any here yet. Anyone interested in things of a beauty related nature?
These teas are saving my life at night when I can’t drink wine. There’s a mojito one too but I forgot to grab it for the picture. Yummy. My absolute favourite is Forever Nuts from David’s Tea. Heaven in a cup. Of course, that means we are out of it. Have to remember to get some this weekend. Top of the list.
And that was an another edition of Friday Favourites. Also, two weeks of actually blogging. I think I need a sticker. There’s some coming in my planner. grinning from ear to ear. Hope you all have a fabulous weekend!
