road trip rest stop part two

Wanderlust Wednesday is back with another Road Trip Rest Stop.  This stop is actually the first or the last stop on the trip depending on which way you are driving.  We don’t often stop on the way down but almost always stop on here on the way back.  It was such a beautiful day that we decided to stop and take some picture of beautiful White Lake.  I love the colour of the water here.  The pictures don’t really do it justice but it gives you an idea of the amazing shade of green reflected off the trees onto the lake.

These mountains around the town of Keremeos have always been a wonder to me for as long as I can remember.  Even on trips up with my grandparents to visit friends of theirs in this small town I was fascinated with them.  It’s is still a bit smoky in this area from all the forest fires so the pictures aren’t as sharp as they should be but you will get the idea still.  One of the first signs you are heading into this fruit stand filled place is the bear peering over the hill at you.  She just trying to catch your eye so you will come in and get some of her delicious fruits and veggies.  Get the cherries.  You will never be sorry.

For some reason, I have always wanted to just want to reach out and touch the mountain.  I especially the parts that look like they are made of sand.  I just love the landscape of this beautiful province.  Be sure to come by next week for the final installment of my Road Trip Rest Stop series and see the other amazing stops.
