that time we hung out with a sasquatch

It is not secret that I am always dying to get away somewhere.  Jump in a plane and fly to different places, cruise different waters and such. Sometimes, I tend to forget about all the beauty of BC that this province I call home.  So much to do and see and reveal in.

For my sister’s birthday a couple of years ago we headed to Harrison Hot Springs on a whim after dinner.  It is a gem of a place about a 90 minute drive from her house.  We stayed at the main resort there, Harrison Hot Springs Resort and Spa.  We have been going to the area all our lives with family for day trips to the beach or nearby camp sites but I had never actually stayed at the resort.  It was definitely worth it.  The view from our room was fantastic! They also have a delicious brunch that is totally worth indulging in.

We spent most of the day in the pools and around the pools or walking along the beach.  As you can see, there was a bit of a sunburn situation going on.  Oops.  We had dinner overlooking the beach on the patio at a great little restaurant, Black Forest Steak and Schnitzel House.
It was a load of fun and relaxation.  I would love to go back and do it again.  Going in the summer is amazing but I would love to make the trip in the winter to really take advantage of the hot pools.
