the one with all the trees

Recently I have been doing a lot of lusting after the beautiful province I live.  I feel so lucky to live in a place that so known for its beauty it is slogan is “Beautiful BC”.  I love the landscape here and have been especially enamoured with all the trees lately.
I thought I would wander down memory lane to a road trip I with my MIL and one of Scott’s cousins. We drove to see where my MIL grew up as she hadn’t been back in years and years.  She is from the village of Slocan in the West Kootney region of southeastern BC.  I took a million gazillion pictures.  I had to narrow it down somehow for this post so I decided to focus mostly on the landscape I love and show off a bit of this province I am proud to call home.

LOVE this little coffee shop! So cute and great coffee.

The area is so full of history.  Not all of it is shinning either.  This area here was where there was a Japanese internment settlement during WWII.

And now I am just going to dump a bunch of pictures of the lake cause it is gorgeous.  Enjoy.  šŸ™‚

I love exploring this big, beautiful place I get to call home.  There is so much to see and experience.  I feel like it will take forever to see it all but I am totally willing to wander around trying.
