Sometimes you have to get out and do stuff. You can’t just sit around drinking wine and counting down the days until your next cruise. 201. Not that I am counting. Since we really haven’t lived in the area that long yet. Only 3 years this June. We still feel like tourists sometimes. Which I think is fabulous. I love exploring new and exciting places. If I can do that close to home why not? Touristy without the expense but still all the wonder. Sign me up. So for Wanderlust Wednesday I am giving you…Hometown Wanderer.
We needed something to do on the Easter Weekend with all the family that the kids would enjoy too. My sister-in-law came up with is awesome idea. I had no idea that nestled among all those amazing wineries on the Naramata Bench was this gem of a place. Andy’s Animals Acres which is basically a petting zoo. It is a family run business which always appeals to me. It wasn’t really expensive. $7/person or $25 for a family of four. There were 8 of us and Andy kindly let us just buy two family passes. Not a lot of places let four adults use a family pass and I thought that was sweet.
I took a million pictures and I am going to let them do the taking from now on because these cuties deserve the spotlight. Warning : this is photo heavy.
This is my very favourite picture. Or it would have been had it not turned out blurry. Grrr…
This beauty was my favourite. So I will leave you with that. Hope you enjoyed seeing a little of the charm that we have were in the sunny Okanagan. Apparently, there really are other things to do here than drink wine. Now if I could do them together…
