Where You Lead

It is finally Friday. Hooray! I really couldn’t be happier to see the weekend if I tried. Especially since I am still high from the massive amounts of caffeine I have consumed this week. It has been a stressful week and I am looking forward to unwinding.The highlight of the week was getting fringe so not really much to report. What I can say is that I really need to spend some serious time with my nose stuck in a book. I am totally falling behind in my reading challenge. I actually didn’t read one book in February. That is embarrassing. What is worse is I am still reading the book I started at the end of January. I don’t even have any excuses.  I actually love the book I just haven’t had the inclination to read. Any free time I have had for reading lately has gone towards reading blogs or the wormhole that is Netflix.  Speaking of Netflix, I finally finished up Gilmore Girls last night. Bittersweet, as it is every time. I wish that show wasn’t cancelled when it was. I so needed more. I still need more. Alas, there is nothing but years of movie rumours and still nothing so I must move on. I want to start a new show but I don’t really know what to start next. There are so many shows that I want to watch. That brings me to today’s 5. I need to know what are your favourites on this fabulous Friday. I picked the top 5 shows on my list and I would love your opinions on what I should start next. The nominee’s are….
Parenthood – Clearly this one helps with my separation for Lorelai Gilmore. Lauren Graham in another single mother role. I actually saw the pilot for this a while back and I liked it. I am definitely curious to know more. 
Dowton Abbey – I think it is possible I am the only woman on the planet not watching this while eating scones and drinking tea on Sunday nights. This is because I am usually drinking wine with The Good Wife or all my favourite fairytale friends in OUAT but who says I can’t do it all. I am dying to see what all the fuss it about.  Plus, 10 points for McGonagall.  
House – I have seen an episode here and there of this because my sister used to watch it. I know I will like it but is it next?
One Tree Hill – Chad Michael Murray. Enough Said. 
House of Cards – Scott and I watched a couple of intense episodes a while back. We couldn’t decide if we wanted to watch it. I think maybe he doesn’t but I would have to fact check on that. haha. Not that I can’t watch it without him. This is one I feel we/I should be watching but for some reason aren’t.  
Honourable mention to Fringe and Revenge which I also started and dropped. Apparently, I have commitment issues. Not to mention I am halfway through the hot mess that is Gossip Girl and I also flaked out on the last season of Dawson’s Creek. That I actually feel really bad about. I actually took a break because I didn’t want it to end. I was trying to savour it but something shiny must of distracted me. Not a shocker.

I feel for the sake of honesty here I should also let you know that I will be watching Friends as well. I am not counting it as my next show because the Central Perk gang and I go way back so that is just old friends catching up. Today’s propose is to find something new to obsess over.

With all this Netflix drama I am going to have to make sure I don’t forget that reading challenge.  Maybe some sort of reward system with have to be put in place. This is going to be a crazy weekend ladies. Crazy. I just can’t wait for the recap. wink wink
